Jacqui Kalin rips a board
The All-Tournament team from Anyuan was announced. Lauren Oosdyke and Jamie Russell made it from our side. Congrats to Lauren and Jaime!

Li Wei, 5’10 PG, China: Key player in two wins over US and Australia making threes and running the team. Had 12 points 4 assists vs. Australia.
All-Tournament Team
Casey Samuels, 6’0 SG, Australia: Aussies best shooter averaged double figures, had 14 in win over US.
Vanessa Goncalves, 6’1 PF, Brazil: Athletic forward scored and rebounded well, also played key role in win over China.
Lauren Oosdyke, 5’11 SF, USA: Had game high 14 vs. Brazil and followed that with 9 points 7 boards vs. China.
Carley Mijovic, 6’6 PF, Australia: Leading scorer and rebounder for the Aussies. Had double-double 16 & 10 vs. USA.

Jamie Russell, 5’8 G, USA: Scored in double figures twice including 12 vs. China and had 7 assists in win over Brazil. 6 steals in the event also.
Hengyu Yang, 6’6 P, China: Scored & rebounded all tourney and had 17 points, 5 boards vs. the US team.
Morgan Johnson
We just arrived in our last city and hotel. It’s called Dong Xiang and this is the Dong Xian International Hotel. Huge place with massive amounts of staff, we have 2 translators, 2 floor translator service ladies, 2 maids, and 2 bellboys all just waiting for one of us to open our door. This is one of the nicer places we’ve stayed in over here.
We flew into a city/airport about 1 hour 30 minutes away and it was a beautiful newer airport that had KFC…we talked them into buying us food, chicken sandwich with fries, pepsi, and hot fudge sundaes. Wow did that taste good. That really hit the spot.
We play tomorrow afternoon vs. Brazil, then the next afternoon vs. Australia and finally the last night vs. China. Apparently this is a huge and nice arena.
