China beat the NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars 66-53 in the final game of the Anyuan (second) stop on this three city tour. China and the US are now both 4-2 going into the final leg of the tour. Tomorrow is a travel day for all of the teams.
China led by four points after the first period and six at halftime even though the Americans had only shot 20% from the floor. Team USA came out aggressive in the third quarter and closed the margin to five points but couldn’t sustain the offensive punch needed to win the game.
The Americans shot only 31% for the game and 21% on three-pointers while China managed to shoot 52%.
Chris Denker, NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars Head Coach:
“it was a tough game tonight. We played pretty hard but had mental errors defensively and China made some tough shots. Stat wise it was an even game with the exception of one area, shooting percentage. You have to put the ball in the basket to win, and we didn’t do that tonight.”
