Dnipropetrovsk (Signed at West Virginia - Announced he will transfer)
Body and athleticism
A good athlete for European standards. He’s pretty agile and mobile for a big man. Has good length and positional size. Coordinated, has decent motor. Needs to fill the frame and bulk up. Fluid when going to the basket and running the floor. Decent vertical leap, can play over the rim.
He’s working on his shot, adding range and polishing technique. Can hit the mid range jumper occasionally but he’s still far away from being a solid long range menace. Release is quick and pretty high but stroke is irregular. Always delivering in catch and shoot situations. Becoming solid from the FT line.
Position and offense
Uses his mobility and speed to fill holes and play from outside to inside with and without the ball. Can put the ball on the floor and attacks the basket, especially when starting from mid range and going to the right side. Not very explosive but quick and coordinated steps to the basket. Moves well off the ball, cuts to the basket and finds open spots to get the ball and score. Runs the floor well and he’s a weapon in fastbreaks. Rolls to the basket well after pick and roll. Good hands. Has pretty decent motor and instincts.
Defense and rebounding
He’s a good rebounder despite lacking great strength. Uses his length and agility to get to a good position and grab the ball. Quick feet and nice reaction timing to go for the lost ball. Crashes offensive board nicely. Has good tools to play defense. Size, agility, length and good instincts. Timing is great to intimidate and block shots, reaching the helpside very quickly.
A very versatile player with good tools and nice potential. He’s a good athlete, has some skills and awareness and is polishing his game at good pace. After a good performance in last summer U16 Eurobasket Division B, made a big name for himself in the u18 championship Division A averaging a double-double and leaving a great impression to scouts and coaches. Reported to be very interested on going to the States to play NCAA ball. He’s a 1994 kid so we need to confirm his academic status.
