Body and athleticism

Very fluid athlete and long strider. Can finish above the rim in space but is largely a below the rim player. Apparent plus feet sliding laterally on the perimeter. Decent size for a 4 but lacks the frame and physicality to battle with high level college athletes at this stage.

Shooting

Compact, moderately high release with a quick trigger to compensate for not a lot of elevation. Has legitimate three-point range off the catch.

Position and offense

A stretch 4 skill-set due to his ability to shoot it with range and the fluidity to put it on the floor in straight lines attacking closeouts as a slasher. Has good touch around the basket with both hands on the move which is crucial being a below the rim finisher in most settings. Not a true post player but can convert jump hooks on mismatches.

Defense and rebounding

Plus feet defending in space on the perimeter sliding laterally, and has decent shot-blocking instincts on the interior. Not a physical rebounder.

Has played in some high level competition for his age.

Ranking

Mid-High Division 1. Vrankic has a bourgeoning stretch 4 game and the ball-skills to be a real offensive threat if he adds strength. He’s also got a workable base on defense with good feet, and definitely has an alluring package for a mid-high D1 team.
