Body and athleticism
Slightly undersized for a lead guard with a skinny frame. Lightning quick accelerator and top end speed with the ball. Very adept changing directions with the ball and defensively moving around screens quickly. Can play above the rim in space with solid vertical athleticism.
Shooting
Fluid mechanics with three-point range off the dribble and off the catch. Can make threes when defenders go under on screens. Has a workable midrange game off the dribble. Sometimes loses interest moving off the ball but is a catch and shoot threat who has to be respected.
Position and offense
“Waterbug” dribble-driver with borderline elite speed + burst to break defenses down off the bounce. Excellent body control at the basket with good bounce to navigate length. Might have trouble finishing through contact with his frame. Already has a developed floater game to combat his lack of height. Very capable pick and roll creator who shows rare ability to split and explode to the basket with a personnel advantage. Instinctual, unselfish passer on the move who can locate open teammates. Really thrives in transition pushing the ball ahead with top end speed.
Defense and rebounding
Feisty defender who is consistently swiping at balls amassing steals. Competes bigger than his size and can really rebound for a guard utilizing his bounciness and toughness mixing it up inside. Navigates around screens with plus foot speed at the point of attack.
Miscellaneous
Can be a bit demonstrative on the court, but looks like a good teammate.
Ranking
Mid-High Division 1. Jackson is an underrated lead guard who really excels with the ball due to his speed with the ball. He plays bigger and tougher than his size would indicate, and could help generate offense on a mid to high level D1 team.
