Jiahe, China – The NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars (6-2) used a 53-21 second half advantage to defeat Canada (2-6) 98-61. The Americans outscored the Canadians 27-3 in the fourth quarter. Shereen Sutherland led five USA All-Stars in double-figures with 16 points. Kiara Kudron registered a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Canada played the USA All-Stars tough early taking a 25-21 lead at the end of the first quarter. They extended their lead to ten points (32-22) on a three-pointer from Kaitlyn Tonita (16 points) early in the second quarter. It was all USA after that however, as the team stormed back to take a 45-40 lead into halftime and ran away from Canada in the second half.
In addition to Sutherland and Kudron the other Americans in double-figures were Kari Korver (15 points on 5-of-9 3s), Leslie Lopez-Wood (14 points on 6-of-10 shooting) and Alisia Jenkins (12 points in 12 minutes of play). Rachel Mitchell played a personal tour-high 27 minutes and grabbed 11 rebounds. The USA All-Stars had their best offensive performance of the trip shooting 55 percent on two-point attempts and 41 percent (11-of-27) on 3s. In addition to Korver, Lopez-Wood and Nicole Kornet each hit two three-pointers and Simone DeCoud and Brittany Crain hit one. The USA had a +24 edge on the boards and had 27 assists against only 13 turnovers. The team moved the ball well throughout the game with Ashley Clark dishing out seven assists, DeCoud six and Kornet five.

Lithuania (1-7) pulled off the upset of the tour, getting their first win, defeating China (7-1) 68-56 behind 27 points from Laura Juskiate. China and the USA All-Stars will battle tonight before a sold-out crowd. A USA win would give them the Jiahe title and a tie for the overall tour championship.

Just wanted to say it’s been a pleasure and a joy reading each and everyone of your articles from your excursion over in Asia with the girls USA All-Star team. Was just curious how the girls did against China last night if they were able to pull out the victory and tie for the tour championship?
