Jiahe, China – The NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars (5-2) defeated Lithuania (0-7) 74-68 in a hard-fought game before a near capacity crowd of 2,838 in Jiahe. 6-7 Rachel Mitchell (14 points, six rebounds), Leslie Lopez-Wood (12 points, six rebounds) and Shereen Sutherland (11 points) all came off the bench to provide their best effort of the tour. Point guard Ashley Clark also came off the bench to contribute seven assists. Shooting guard. Brittany Crain had her third double-double of the trip with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The game was close throughout until the USA All-Stars pulled out to a 12-point (63-51) third quarter lead on a three-pointer by Nicole Kornet. The lead ranged from 8 to 12 points the rest of the way until Lithuania closed the deficit at the end. The Lithuanians had a 21-18 lead after the fist quarter and the teams went into halftime tied at 37. Lithuania stayed in the game in the first half with 5-of-10 shooting from long distance but the Americans extended their defense and Lithuania missed their last 11 three-point attempts.
The USA had a +4 edge on the boards and did commit 18 turnovers but moved the ball well and had 23 assists. The Americans shot 43 percent on two-point attempts and 29 percent (7-of-24) on threes. Lopez-Wood and Mitchell each made all four of their free throw attempts as the USA shot 79 percent (11-of-14) from the charity stripe.
Alisia Jenkins had a +/- of +12 in 13 minutes of play while 6-2 Kiara Kudron (10 points, seven rebounds) was solid at center and helped hold Lithuania’s best player, 6-2 Laura Juskaite to nine points. Martyna Petronaite led Lithuania with 16 points.

China (7-0) remained undefeated as they ran away from Canada (2-5) 81-38. The USA All-Stars will face Canada tonight in the opener, followed by China facing Lithuania.
