The USA All-Stars were in this game the entire way playing their best ball of the series. After Team China went out to a 20-7 lead at the close of the first quarter the Americans started to hit their shots. The USA closed to 31-30 at halftime with Becca Tobin scoring 8 points.

The USA shot only 38% for the game (24-of-64) including 2-of-13 on three’s. The Americans outrebounded the taller Chinese 41-37 including 11-6 on the offensive glass. Team China had no offensive rebounds in the first half.
Tomorrow is a travel day as we have a 2.5 hour flight to Heilongjiang then a 3-hour bus ride to our destination.
Comments from Head Coach, NetScouts Basketball’s Chris Denker: We competed much better tonight especially on the boards. A few missed assignments, poor execution on key possessions and missed shots cost us the game. We really played hard and had every opportunity to win but China made key plays down the stretch. We are getting much better and I think we’ll continue to compete well against the Chinese National “B” Team.”
