Kassius Robertson of the University of Missouri has been named NetScouts Basketball Men’s International Player of the Week for games through February 11th.. The 6-3 Canisius transfer from Canada led the Tigers to two consecutive conference wins over Ole Miss (75-69) and Mississippi State (89-85). In the win over Mississippi Robertson had 27 points, including 5-of-9 three-pointers, four rebounds and a pair of assists. In the win over Mississippi State when he had 22 points, connecting on 5-of-11 three-pointers, five rebounds and three assists. For the week he averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 50 percent from long-distance.
Kitja Laksa from the University of South Florida has been named NetScouts Women’s International Player of the Week for games through February 11th. She helped her team to road wins over ECU (88-47) and No. 13 Ohio State (84-65). In the win over ECU she had 25 points to go along with four rebounds and four assists. She followed that up with an outstanding performance against Ohio State with a season high 41 points on 15-of-27 shooting, including 8-of-13 from distance. On the week, the junior from Riga, Lativa averaged 33 points while hitting 54 percent on three-pointers and 100 percent from the free throw line.
