We are now in the city of Xiantao which is part of the Wuhan district in Hubei province, located in the central part of the country. The original itinerary had us headed to Tongren but there was a last minute change of plans. It took 11 hours to get here from Weng’an, including a 1.5 hour bus ride, a five-hour high speed train and another 1.5 hour bus ride. It was a good change for us as this is a city of over 1 million people and has a shopping mall with a McDonald’s located within walking distance of the hotel. The USA plays Canada tonight while China plays Lithuania.
