Jock Landale of Saint Mary’s (CA) is the NetScouts Basketball International Men’s Player of the Week for games through February 4th. Landale continued his strong play by helping lead his team to wins over San Francisco (79-43) and San Diego (65-62). The senior from Australia played well with 26 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and three blocks in the win over San Francisco. He followed that up against San Diego where he contributed more than half of the Gael’s points (34) to go along with 18 rebounds and four assists. On the week, he averaged 30 points, 15 rebounds and 3.5 assists on 66.6 percent shooting and 77.7 percent from the free throw line.
Maria Jespersen from the University of South Florida has been named NetScouts Women’s International Player of the Week for games through February 4th helping her team to road wins over Tulane (63-53) and Tulsa (71-57). In the win over Tulane she put together 21 points on eight shots to go along with 13 rebounds. She followed that up against Tulsa with 26 points on 6-of-12 shooting, 13 rebounds and three assists. The Danish standout averaged 23.5 points and 13 rebounds on 45 percent shooting from the field and 79.5 percent from the free throw line.
