NetScouts Basketball Women USA All-Stars Head to China

A USA Women’s All-Star Basketball team is leaving for China to participate in the Four Nations international basketball tournament. The team, organized and coached by NetScouts Basketball, will play a round-robin format in three cities for a total of nine games against national teams of China, New Zealand and Poland. The team will first play three games in Foshan in Guangdong Province from April 3-5. They will then head to Zunyi in Guizhou Province to play three games from April 7-9 and finish up in Weng’an from April 11-13. The team will depart from LAX on March 31st and return to the United States on April 14th.

The NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars include: Ariana Elegado, 5’6, PG, (Cal Poly), Zhane Dikes, 5’9, PG (San Francisco), Tear’a Laudermill, 5’10, G (Nebraska/Finland), Brittany Shine, 5’10, G (Florida/Cal), Moriah Faulk, 5’10, G (UCLA/Fresno State), Taylor Proctor, 6’0, F (San Francisco), Toni Smith, 6’0, F (Fresno State), Morgan Bailey, 6’2, F/C (BYU/Portugal), Jamee Swan, 6’2, F/C (Colorado) and Jordan Sullivan, 6’2, F/C (Montana/Denmark). The team will be coached by Drew Muscatell of the University of Portland and assisted by Cody Johnson of Santa Clara.

Ariana Elegado

Elegado finished her basketball career at Cal Poly in 2014-15 averaging 15.3 points and 4.8 assists. She was named to the All-Big West conference 1st Team in 2014 and 2015. In the 2014 season she averaged 17.4 points per game.

Dikes helped lead San Francisco to a WCC tournament championship and an NCAA bid this season.  She averaged 13.9 points and 7.1 rebounds and was named to the All-WCC 2nd team as well as to the All-Tournament 1st team.

Laudermill is taking her second trip to China with our teams. She just completed a solid season in Finland where she averaged 14.8 points and 5.5 rebounds. Tear’a played collegiately at Nebraska where she averaged 13.6 points as a senior.

Shine played in the Superleague in Iraq this year after graduating from California. She played two years at Florida and then transferred to Cal for the final two years of her eligibility.

Faulk played one season at UCLA and transferred to Fresno State where she helped the Bulldogs to the finals of the Mountain West Conference tournament and into the second round of the WNIT this season.

Taylor Proctor

Proctor lead San Francisco in scoring (18.4 ppg), rebounding (8.3 rpg) and assists (3.3 apg) while leading the Dons into the NCAA tournament. She was a 1st team All-WCC selection in both 2015 and 2016 and was the WCC Tournament MVP in 2016.

Smith helped lead Fresno State to the second round of the WNIT by averaging 12.2 points and 6.9 rebounds. She was named to the Mountain West Conference tournament 1st team.

Bailey was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Year in 2015 at BYU after averaging 17.4 points and 10.5 rebounds. She played this past season in Portugal for CAB Madeira.

Swan completed a solid career a Colorado this season by averaging 13.5 points and 7.1 rebounds. She was named as an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention in both 2015 and 2016.

Morgan Bailey

Sullivan averaged 11.8 points and 7.9 rebounds in her final season at Montana. She has since played in Denmark and Luxembourg. She was named to the Danish league 1st team in 2015 after averaging 18.5 points and 11.3 rebounds.

NetScouts Basketball organizes and coaches All-Star Men’s and Women’s teams which represent the USA in international basketball competition. This enables highly successful players who have recently completed their eligibility to represent their country, get experience playing international basketball and take part in an amazing cultural experience.
