Most Outstanding Player: Omari Spellman, MacDuffie School
Spellman outplayed Thon Maker in leading the MacDuffie School to a 12-point win over Orangeville Prep with 27 points. He followed that up with 22 points in a 24-point win over Worcester Academy. Spellman is being pursued by Kentucky, Ohio State and others and should be ranked much higher than his No. 28 spot in the 2016 class.
All-Tournament Team
Thon Maker, Orangeville Prep
Maker averaged 19 points over two games. He was the co-player of the game scoring 22 points in a 13-point win over Wilbraham & Monson. Maker, the No.1 2016 recruit has been mulling reclassifying to the 2015 class, but current word is he may stay a 2016 recruit in order to get stronger. Kentucky and Louisville are on top of his list for now.

Jamal Murray, Orangeville Prep
Murray, another top 2016 recruit scored 25 points in the Wilbraham & Monson win and averaged 17 points over the two games. The 6’5 Murray has gotten noticeably bigger and stronger over the last year or two. He’s also considering a move to the 2015 class but will likely stay as a 2016 recruit. Michigan State, Maryland and Oregon are among the schools after him.
Steven Enoch, St. Thomas More
Enoch, a 6’10 2015 UConn recruit, was dominant inside in a 17-point win over GB Academy scoring a game-high 26 points. He should play right away for the Huskies.
Andrew Robinson, Putnam Science
The 6’6 Robinson led Putnam to a hard fought 7-point win over the Phelps School with 22 points. Andrew will head with his brother Aaron to Quinnipiac in the fall, great pickups for the Bobcats.
Mike Watkins, Phelps School
The 6’9 Watkins, headed to Penn State, averaged 20.5 points over two games. Playing with an injured eye which impacted his vision, he still scored a game-high 27 points against Putnam Science.
Aaron Falzon, Northfield Mt. Hermon
Northwestern recruit Falzon, averaged 17 points in two NMH wins. He impressed with his range and should see immediate action for the Wildcats next season.
JaQuan Lyle and NetScouts Basketball’s Carl Berman
JaQuan Lyle, IMG Academy
Lyle, the former Oregon recruit who will now be headed to Ohio State, led IMG to two victories averaging 18 points. He was player of the game with 22 points in a 6-point win over Wilbraham & Monson.
Curtis Cobb, Wilbraham & Monson
Cobb, a 6’5 scorer, averaged 27 points over two games. He filled up the stat sheet with 33 points against Orangeville Prep. Cobb, a 2015 recruit, is sporting offers from UConn, LaSalle, Providence and others.
Tremont Waters, South Kent
The 5’10 PG, only a sophomore, was the leading scorer at the event averaging 28 points over two games. He scored 37 points, the top scoring total at the tournament, in an 8-point loss to New Hampton. Waters, a 2017 recruit, already sports offers from UConn, St. John’s and Purdue.
Francisco Alonso, Cushing Academy
Alonso, a 6’3 combo-guard from Spain improved his recruiting stock by averaging 21 points over two games. He led Cushing to two wins and scored a game-high 26 points against Blair Academy. Alonso, who we’ve scouted in Europe the past few years is one of the best shooters among the New England preps and can also play some point. He’s getting more interest lately with Richmond, Old Dominion, UTEP and Virginia contacting him.
Dupree McBrayer, Sunrise Christian
McBrayer, a 6’2 guard from NYC who is headed to Minnesota, averaged 17 points as Sunrise Christian lost two close contests.
Saul Phiri, Worcester Academy
The 6’5 Phiri averaged 16 points over two games and led Worcester to an 18-point win over Bridgton Academy with 18 points. He has offers from George Washington. Duquesne and Quinnipiac and should see increased interest as a result of the event.
