The All-Tournament team from the Chengdu portion of the NetScouts Basketball Women’s China Tour has been announced.
Chengdu MVP
The MVP of this section of the tour was Tahnee Robinson of the USA. Robinson came through with 15 points and seven rebounds in the USA’s second consecutive close win over China 75-72. She made the final free throw to provide the final margin of victory. In the three games in Chengdu, Robinson averaged 10.3 points and 3.7 rebounds.
Chengdu All-Tournament Team
Aulani Sinclair, USA. Sinclair continued her excellent play after being named the MVP at PingXiang, the first tour stop. In Chengdu, Sinclair averaged 13 points and 2.7 rebounds with a high of 16 points against Australia in the USA’s three wins.
Rita Rasheed, Hungary. The 5’11 Rasheed was active throughout Hungary’s games. She scored 18 points in Hungary’s first win, a 79-63 victory over Australia. She averaged 13.7 points in the three games.
Ting Shao, China. The 6’1 forward scored a tournament high 28 points in China’s 76-73 win over Australia. She followed that up with 19 points in the close loss to the USA and averaged 15.7 points.
Aishah Sutherland, USA. Sutherland made the key jumper to break the late tie and was the deciding shot in the USA’s win over China. She also grabbed 10 rebounds in the win over Hungary. Sutherland averaged 8.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in Chengdu.
Alex Sheedy, Australia. The 6’2 forward did her all to try to help Australia upset China, scoring 26 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including 3-of-4 three’s and also pulling down eight rebounds.
