The NetScouts Basketball Men’s USA All-Star Team has completed their long journey from San Francisco to Liuzhou, China.
The Men’s team consists of:
Brian Addison, 6’10 (Buffalo/Portugal)
Tyler Cain, 6’9 (South Dakota/Latvia)
Lance Jeter, 6’3 (Nebraska/Holland)
LaMarcus Reed, 6’5 (Texas-Arlington)
Orion Outerbridge, 6’9 (Rhode Island)
Lamonte Ulmer, 6’6 (Rhode Island/Luxembourg)
Anthony Gurley, 6’3 (Massachusetts/New Zealand)
Taj McCullough, 6’7 (Winthrop/D-League/Australia)
Adam Waddell, 6’10 (Wyoming)
Marquis Jones, 6’1 (Rhode Island/Germany).
In the first game of the three-city, nine-game tour the USA All-Stars defeated Lithuania 90-65. The USA had a tough start, the days of travel and limited practice time contributed to the tough start. Even with rough play they managed a six point halftime lead. Lithuania came out strong to begin the second half cutting the lead to three on several occasions and were very aggressive.
The USA broke the game open with a run that started with seven minutes to go in the third quarter and ended the quarter with a 16 point lead. He run was highlighted by great defense by the Americans forcing numerous Lithuanian turnovers. Everyone contributed to the defensive performance.
The NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars were led by Brian Addison’s 21 points on 10-of-14 from the field. Lamonte Ulmer contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds and Anthony Gurley scored 12 points. Tyler Cain pulled down 19 rebounds while Lance Jeter led the team with 6 assists. We’ll try to get full stats ad update this report later today. The USA plays Germany tomorrow night.

The NetScouts Basketball Women’s USA All-Stars are continuing the preparation for the first game on July 2nd against the Chinese National Olympic Team. We’re doing two practices a day mixed in with three high quality meals.
