NetScouts Basketball and GB Academy to Host Camp in Prague

NetScouts Basketball and Get Better Academy are launching our second Elite Skills and Exposure Camp. This camp will be open to up to 60 players, both boys and girls, aged 12-18. The event will feature skill development as well as the evaluation of all players and subsequent promotion of players who are capable of playing in the USA and would like to explore that opportunity.
We also will have a session that explains the process of achieving eligibility in the USA at NCAA and NAIA schools. NetScouts Basketball will assist you to be placed in the USA at either a college or a prep school. The NetScouts Basketball/GB Academy Elite Skills and Exposure Camp will take place at GB Academy’s facility in Prague from from July 30 – August 2, 2014.
You can register and pay for the camp by completing our Camp Registration Form. You will then be taken through the payment process. Cost is 160 euros for Czech players and 260 euros for those outside the Czech Republic. That price is valid through June. Starting July 1st, the price will increase to 200 euros (Czech) and 300 euros (non-Czech) so please register early. Price includes meals and lodging. The idea of this camp is to help improve everyone’s skill level and help interested players get placed in schools in the USA.
NetScouts Basketball will be on-site to evaluate each athlete and record their in game stats and camp ranking. All capable players from the event with an interest of attending school in the USA will be included in NetScouts Basketball’s International Recruiting Service to which many USA universities subscribe.
Players will run a number of drills each day between 9am – 5pm, which will include:
- Ball handling & 1-on-1 dribble moves
- Shootng form & footwork for mid-range game
- Finishing at the basket on attacking layups
- Big man scoring moves
- Using and reading screens to score
- Excelling in the Pick & Roll and other team offense situations
- Transition Game & Passing
- Individual & Team Defensive techniques
The camp will also give players the opportunity to have their games recorded during games. These tapes will be made available to each player and can then be used to help gain scholarships or contracts when approaching colleges or professional teams.
