Body and athleticism
Nice size for his position. Good frame and decent wingspan. Well built lower body. Good athleticism. Not very explosive but quick and very tough. Good vertical leap and potency. Terrific motor. Great hands. Good lateral quickness. Amazing endurance.
Shooting
Not a pure shooter but can score from outside for real. Very solid from catch and shoot situations. Good looking shot technique, with high release. Can create his own shot but he's still not very effective shooting off the dribble. Assertive driving to the basket, finishing after contact but needs a softer touch. Reliable from the free throw line.
Position and offense
All around player who can play SG and SF position. Very active and intense, he contributes in so many ways. He can score consistently, with versatile scoring arsenal. Drives to the basket, shoots from outside and runs the floor very well. Not smooth or very skilled, but has some real talent and, more important, a huge willingness. Showed a just average awareness and a poor tactical discipline. Gets out of control and forces action. Too intense at times. Needs to be more focused, calm and smarter.
Defense and rebounding
Again, extremely intense and active. Good individual defender as he fights for position, staying close to his man and denying the pass. Very active hands and quick feet in 1vs1. Attacks pass lines and tips passes. Struggles in zone defense and complex systems as he has a poor defensive awareness. His excessive passion and intensity lead him to lose the position, miss switches and give easy options to his rival. Needs some fundamentals and timing. Excellent rebounder as he crashes the boards at both ends with energy and assertiveness. Able to guard SG and SF, we even saw him fighting inside after mismatches.
Miscellaneous
A matter of self-control. He has a good body, some basics and skills (improvable, of course) and an outstanding willingness and hard work ethic. He has to learn to stay calm, to trust his teammates, to pace himself and do the right thing, in the right moment, with the right level of intensity. Needs to be smarter, to learn about tactics. He's everywhere, doing everything. Getting his wild personality under control, he will become into a very valuable player for high level competitions. Can wind up as a high level player (always as complementary but very valuable role) or a lost in translation guy trying to survive in modest teams in Croatian league.
Ranking
NCAA Division I high to mid major. Euroleague/Eurocup level in Europe.
