The Gaels are dancing!
Randy Bennett and his squad played good basketball and thoroughly dismantled their two biggest threats in the WCC, Portland and Gonzaga, to earn the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
Bennett and his staff have done a nice job with this group after losing Patty Mills (Portland Trail Blazers - NBA) and Diamon Simpson (LA D-Fenders - NBADL) last year. He also lost starter Wayne Hunter to a… Continue reading

Which bubble teams are in, and which are out? Many of these teams still have a chance if they win a few… Continue reading

We were thinking about publishing our own NCAA tournament bracket prediction. Then we decided that there were so many bracketologists out there we wouldn't add much to the table. We did come across one site that is very interesting. That site takes all NCAA bracket predictions and averages them out and displays the results in a matrix. The only downside is that some polls do not update daily so there… Continue reading

The University of Northern Iowa has jumped seven spots to No. 20 in the Associated Press top-25 poll (Jan. 18), and the Panthers are No. 22 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll. WEST COAST CONFERENCE (RPI 12 vs. #5 Strength of Schedule)
Rankings: Gonzaga #14
Game Recaps:
Gonzaga got a big road win over Portland at the Chiles Center, a place not many teams will win this year. St. Mary's swept their Bay Area rivals USF and Santa Clara thanks to a great week from Omar Samhan, balanced scoring, solid guard play, and a good (albeit thin) bench. Pepperdine beat Loyola Marymount 79-75 in Malibu.

Arizona State got back into the conference race with a sweep of the Washington schools at home. It wasn't surprising that they won, but what was surprising was the ease… Continue reading
