NetScouts Basketball is covering the “Basketball Without Borders” event in Moscow. In the morning of the first day the coaches reinforced some dribbling drills for the attendees. The coaches used as defenders Alex Shved, Tim Mozgov, Andrei Kirilenko, Marshan Brooks and Danny Green to make the task as difficult as possible.
Tyrell Isaacs from England (7/5/1995, 5’11”, PG) caught everyone’s attention with his fast crossovers, no look-at-the-ball-driving, easy faking and speed dribble.
Several big guys, such as Doko Salic form Bosnia and Andrii Kharchinskyi of Ukraine surprised the crowd with their shooting range and solid rebounding . However, the star of the games was Aidas Kavaliauskas (Lithuania) who played point guard for one of the 4 teams. He looked as mature as a solid college player and clearly has pro potential. He shot very well, was excellent passing all over the court, rebounded well from his guard spot and was excellent in starting fast breaks. His teammates appreciated his assists and listened to his direction as he ran the offense.
