Since the article was published Arsalan Kazemi (Iran) a transfer from Rice has been declared eligible at Oregon. Kazemi is a multi-talented player with an incredible feel for the game. He is not only one of the best rebounders in the country, but he has exceptional versatile skills that make his team much better. He anticipates the ball well on defense, can come up with steals and is unselfish and an excellent passer. In last night’s win over UT-San Antonio, Kazemi not only led the Ducks with 20 points, but he also grabbed six rebounds, came up with five steals, four assists and three blocks. With the late additions of Kazemi and 6’11 Waverly Austin, and the lower than expected level of play from several Pac-12 contenders, Oregon has a chance to finish in the top 3 of the conference and reach the NCAA tournament.
